Homemade Hot Chocolate

Homemade hot chocolate

I don’t know about you guys but I get pretty sick and tired of paying too much money for pre packaged hot chocolate! So why not make your own?? It’s a very easy recipe with 3 ingredients and it tastes sooo much better than the store bought kind! Just make sure you add it to milk when you make it because it doesn’t work out very well just adding it to water. If you keep it in an airtight container it should last around 6 months…….. if you can get it to last that long! LOL my kids eat this stuff up!

Homemade Hot Chocolate

Ingredients:

3 1/2 cups sugar

2 1/4 cups cocoa

1 tbs. salt

Directions:

1) In a large bowl mix sugar, cocoa and salt with a wire whisk. Store in an air tight container.

2) Heat up 1 cup milk (being careful not to scald it) either in the microwave or stove top. Add in 2 tablespoons of cocoa mix and stir well. Add marshmallows or a peppermint stick to taste if you would like. Take care when drinking because it will be hot.

Enjoy your homemade hot chocolate!!
