Springfield, Illinois: Historic Christmas Holiday House Walk December 15th noon to 5 PM

We will be headed to the Historic Christmas Holiday House Walk on the 15th at 12:00!! I don’t want to miss a bit of this Historical event and what a great way to get away from the holiday stress and enjoy some time with your family. I am sure both Charlee Ann and Alicia will have a great time looking at all the Festive Holiday Decorations. I hope to see you all there!!

Last year’s “An Historic Christmas” holiday historic house walk is back and better than ever for 2012!  Edwards Place, the Elijah Iles House, the Vachel Lindsay Home, the Governor’s Mansion, the Lincoln Home, and the Pasfield House will all be decorated for the holidays and open for a special afternoon of walkthrough tours on Saturday, December 15 from 12 to 5 pm.   Members of the Sound Celebration Chorus will be on hand to fill the air with Christmas Carols of the 1860s, and Abraham and Mary Lincoln will be making visits to each of the sites.  At Edwards Place, visitors will also have the opportunity to make a holiday ornament, and of course, shop  for the perfect gift at Holiday Hall, our winter wonderland of arts and crafts!
