Review and Giveaway: 1 Sol Swimwear (One winner will win one of these awesome swim suits!)

Recently I was given the opportunity to reveiw swimwear from 1 Sol. I picked the swimsuit shown above in the same color shown above called Chocolate. I picked this one because I am not rail thin and I am 40 and I like that it is not hiked way up on the side. I am a little old fashioned like my Mother. I also like the gathers in the front, when we get a little older we are not quite so perfect. So this suit is going to cover my imperfections while I get to stay in style!

Now most of the swimsuits that I have bought in my life are pretty cheap and pretty much throw-a-ways. You know, you buy them for the year and that is about all they will last. Well you should have seen me smile when I received the 1Sol swimsuit in the mail! 🙂 It came in a fancy black box that had an elegant silver string wrapped around it. When I opened the box it was nicely packaged in tissue paper that had the company’s logo printed in silver. As I peeled away the tissue paper I found the gorgeous swimsuit. When I felt the fabric, it felt like heaven. It was very luxurious! Then I just had to check out the stitching. My mom taught me long ago that you can know a knock-off by checking the stitching. My new suit was definitely not a knock-off! The stitching was absolutely perfect, there wasn’t one piece of thread hanging anywhere. The bust had just enough padding so you can’t see anything through it but it didn’t make you look “fake” or “built up”. There is a double stitch reinforcement located on the side in the bust area that will definitely make it last! As a matter of fact there is double stitching all over the suit but the side of the bust area actually has an extra piece of reinforced fabric on it.

I was always a little skeptical when it came to buying a more expensive bathing suit. My mind has now been changed! 😉 I can see where in the long run it will actually save you money. I have had cheaper swimsuits that didn’t even last through one season and the cheaper ones are now $20-$30 per piece! That usually ends up being $40-$60 for a piece of garbage that may look cute until you were it a few times. Then it ends up being a misshaped piece of junk.
