I don’t know how many bacon lovers are out there but I am here to tell you that I have now tried Skillet Bacon Jam. Now, when I first received the product I was a little put off by the looks of it. The first thing I tried it with was mixing it with cream cheese and spreading it on a bagel. You know what? It wasn’t bad!! Now normally I like my cream cheese sweet or nutty but I was really surprised with the taste. It was pretty good. Next I tried mixing a tad bit of it with my green beans. Normally I fry some bacon and sautee onions and mix it all together with my green beans and it takes forever! Well grab a little Skillet Bacon Jam and mix a dab with your sauteed onions and green beans and viola! It was really good and I didn’t have bacon grease splattered all over my kitchen! 🙂
What is Skillet Bacon Jam?? Well, here is what they say…..
we use niman ranch bacon and render it down along with onions, balsamic and other spices . It cooks for several hours until it is a perfect blend of smoky, tangy, savory and slightly sweet….basically spreadable bacony goodness! USDA approved.
I took a look at their website and I am going to try spreading some on grilled chicken breast mixed with mushrooms! I am thinking this will be delicious!! 🙂
