Ingredients:

Rubbing Alcohol

food coloring

Dry Pasta

Directions:

  1. Pour 1/2 cup rubbing alcohol into a large bowl
  2. Add 10 or so drops of food coloring
  3. drop the pasta in the bowl and stir gently with a spoon until covered
  4. Remove the pasta from the bowl and allow to dry on paper towel, paper plate, or newspaper for several hours or overnight

The Pasta will brighten as the pasta dries out.

Now the possibilities are endless with the colored pasta. If you do different shapes you could have the children sort by color or shape. You can just put them in a big container to use instead of sand. You can make necklaces out of yarn. You can even glue them to paper and make a picture (works better on thick paper or cardboard) Have fun creating with your children! šŸ™‚
