Free Kids Science Project to do at Home: Liquid Layers

Ingredients:

Small clear party punch cups (or clear glass)

Body wash or shampoo (We used Softsoap Pomegranate & Mango because it is red)

Blue dishwashing soap

Green Water (tint it with food coloring)

Cooking oil

 

Directions:

Pour the 4 ingredients into the cups in any order. Now Watch. They will all separate out in the same order every time! It doesn’t matter what order you add them it always comes out the same. Pretty cool to watch isn’t it?? 🙂 All this can be made by things that you already have in your stockpile!
