GIVEAWAY: GIANTmicrobes (Check it out! You will love them!!)

When I first saw GIANTmicrobes, I just knew the kids (especially Tristan) would love them. So…I showed them the website and sure enough, we had an argument as to which we’d love to have! What is a GIANTmicrobe, you say? They are giant versions of teeny tiny microbial specimens that you come across everyday, but don’t normally see. They’re toys of what you’d see if you looked at, say the chicken pox virus, under the microscope. GIANTmicrobes are not just entertaining and (believe it or not) adorable. They’d be great for homeschoolers. I’m seriously considering homeschooling my kids, but that’s a topic for another day…sigh…Anyway…there are many choices of microbes on the website. We received the petrie dish of algaefor review. Our petrie dish came with 3 little algae and an insert with all the facts about algae. Just our little algae are 1,000,000x the actual size. And adorable, I might add. The kids loved them and I think for the next science fair, it’ll be a great add-on. The scientific term for algae is Anabaena.

Besides the petrie dishes, they also offer bigger sized plushes (5-7″ or 15-20″) and some of them (like the bed bug-one of my favorites!) have a choice of a vinyl doll.
