Quick, Easy and Budget Friendly Chili Recipe



When it is cold outside there’s nothing like a hearty bowl of budget friendly Chili to warm you up.  Besides being delicious, this recipe is so quick and easy!  Chili is a budget friendly recipe.  You can feed at least 10 people for approximately $16 with this recipe.  If your family is small you will have plenty of leftovers to freeze for another dinner or pack for school lunches.

Ingredients

2 lbs lean Ground Beef
(1) 15 oz. can of petite diced tomatoes
(1) 15 oz. can Tomato Sauce
(2) 15 oz. cans Black Beans
(1) 15 oz. can Light Kidney Beans (or dark if you prefer)
(1) 15 oz. can Pinto Beans
(2) 15 oz. cans of Corn
½ cup of water
1 Pack of McCormick Chili Seasoning Original mix
*Optional: Shredded Cheese and Sour Cream for garnish

Instructions

1)In a large stock pot brown the ground beef
2) Drain the fat and return beef to stock pot
3) Drain corn, then add to stock pot. Add all other ingredients and stir. Bring to boil, then turn down to medium low and cover with lid. Cook on medium low for 30 minutes.
**Serve with sour cream and cheese

If you want to mix it up a bit, prepare two cups of white rice on the side.  Your family may enjoy adding rice to their bowl of chili.  This simple ingredient makes a great addition! This budget friendly chili recipe will warm your family up on a cold night and keep your grocery bill down. It’s the perfect go to for these cold fall evenings.
